WILD HORSE SILK SCREEN PRINT
Per Josephson has worked with the wild horse as a motif for many years and in a number of different techniques.
The expression is a mixed and developed version that sample from the pop art era. The Wild horse silkscreen shows Warhol’s large colored fields, protruding accents and Lichtenstein’s significant screenings. The comic book’s characteristic speech bubbles appear in the white infinity.
The power of the subject and the perspective of the image give depth and movement as the Wild horse emerges from its landscape.
